Reader Leigh P writes in today, lamenting the apparent disappearance of the Whisper Wear hands-free breast pump:
It looks like the Whisper Wear hands-free model may not be available anymore. In fact, I'm wondering whether Whisper Wear is out of business. The website appears to have been dismantled. On the Breast Pumps Direct website, it says the hands-free model is unavailable, and it's been discontinued by the manufacturer. It's very difficult to find any further information from the web, especially since the website appears not to exist anymore.
In short, I'm not sure this is a viable option anymore. Just wanted you to have this information. If I'm mistaken, I'm very sorry. But initial indications point to no more Whisper Wear pumps. Too bad, a hands-free option would have been great!

This is not the same as a completely hands-free pump, but it does work well with Medela pumps and allows the user to type, use the remote control or whatever while pumping.

Hoping to take this sweet whisper wear breast pump to give to friends who have a 2 month old little boy! They are still in college trying to get things going, and could use it!! THANKS for the chance!!
