We actually find that the Graco backless booster isn't very safe because the clip does not hold the shoulder strap in place very well. The clip instead moves all over the place. I was surpised it was a best bet.

We feel very confident in our Graco Turbo AIR booster. Our daughter says it is more comfortable on the back of her legs and she doesn't sweat as much during the summer since it has a breathable cushion. She is just 3.5 years old, but 44 pounds and 44 inches tall.

Also, we prefer the extended weight range of the high back booster seats because we often carpool and most of my daughter's friends are between 30-40 pounds. This is important since kids usually need to be 40 pounds to go in a backless booster, but can be 30 in a high back booster.

Britax Frontier Sale

I'm wondering what about the Britax Frontier? Is it one of the best bets too?

Would you still recommend the Graco Nautilus or are you not recommending any use of combo seats that work with a five-point harness and then convert to a highback booster? Just thinking about getting something bigger than we've got for our three year old who weighs 38 lbs. and is 36" tall.
