I have a great suggestion for discounted do it yourself invitations. As you likely know, Michael's craft stores sells do it yourself invitation kits. They also provide, and have for some time, a coupon printed on their receipts for 40% off your next purchase of one item the following week after the initial purchase. I've been purchasing the invitation kits retailing at $40 for 30 invitations at the price of $25 with the coupon, and simply return once a week to buy another set. We'll have 120 pocket style invitations for only $100.
Brides and grooms can also do this with vases for centerpieces and other bridal items at Michael's. Our local newspaper also has a weekly Michael's coupon for 40% off, so I am able to swing by the store once a day and pick up the larger priced items I need. I'm told I'm not the only one to do this!
It all requires some planning ahead but amounts to great savings. Thought this might be a good one to pass on. Thanks!
I did the same thing! Some of them I bought using a 50% off coupon around Christmas!
